Deborah Croyle (Receptionist)
Deborah has over twenty years commercial experience in retail, logistics, leisure,
catering and veterinary fields, specialising in start-ups and turnarounds. She has
cats, rabbits, a tortoise and a miniature dachshund. Her hobbies include gardening,
motorcycling, cooking, classic rock and malt whisky tasting.
She and her husband recently moved from urban Hertfordshire to the Lincolnshire
fens to improve their quality of life, and she welcomes her return to the veterinary
field - she just can't keep away!
Gill Sanders (Receptionist)
Gill moved from West London some years ago and settled in Market Deeping where
she has lived since.
Gill's hobbies include gardening and she tries her hand at growing vegetables,
occasional watercolour painting and some acrylics. Gill loves the theatre, dancing
and 'trod the boards' as an amateur dramatic for a local group.
Gill joined animates in January 2009 as a part time receptionist. She previously
worked as a dental nurse for 6 years with a practice in Stamford.
Morwenna Hawkins (Veterinarian)
Morwenna joined the Animates team in June 2006. Morwenna (otherwise known as
Mo) completed her veterinary degree at Massey University in New Zealand in 2000.
Following 3 1/2 years of mixed practice in New Zealand she moved to the UK.
Morwenna spent 2 years doing small animal Veterinary locum work based mainly in
Cornwall and Leicestershire.
Morwenna has 2 cats and a horse. She also enjoys reading and travelling when she
gets the chance.
Tom Von Den Busch (Veterinarian)
Tom qualified from Ghent university in Belgium in 2002 and moved immediately to
the UK. He has been working in small animal practice in Norfolk and Hertfordshire
since, as well as doing work in an out of hours emergency clinic for 6 months.
In his spare time the 2 dogs and the vegetable garden keep him busy, as well as
clearing up the kitchen after spending hours cooking and baking.
Sara Dench (Qualified Veterinary Nurse, A1 Assessor)
Sara returned to a career in Veterinary nursing in 2004 after working for the Royal
Mail for 11 years. She studied from September 2005 for 2 years and gained her
Veterinary Nurse qualification in September 2007. She has worked in various
practices in and around Peterborough and joined Animates in July 2007. Sara is an
A1 assessor and a clinical coach and helps to train future nurses in the practice.
Sara enjoys looking after her two mad Jack Russell Terriers, George and Molly, as
well as her diabetic dog Barney and her 2 cats and 2 rabbits. Her interests include
mountain biking, watching motorsport, birdwatching, badminton and going to the
Hannah Parrott (Qualified Veterinary Nurse)
Hannah qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1996. Since qualifying she has completed
the Royal Canin PHC (Pet Health Councillor) and Advanced PHC courses and
therefore has a keen interest in pet nutriton and diets. Due to having a diabetic cat
in the past, she is very interested in diabetes and has completed the BVNA diabetes
Hannah has worked as a veterinary nurse in various practices around the country,
and also spent a year in Australia in 2000 where she worked with a lot of exotic
pets and wildlife. She still enjoys working with Exotics, which she can now do at
Animates with Sarah Pellett, the Exotics Vet.
Hannah lives with her husband and two children and their lazy cat Scrunchie. She
enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and handbag shopping!
Helle Pausgaard (Student Veterinary Nurse)
Helle is very interested in animal husbandry in which she has gained a qualification
and has worked on farms in Denmark, New Zealand and England for almost 10
She has lived in UK since 2008 and now lives with her partner Adam in Market
Deeping. She has a Lab x Pointer called Millie and in her spare time she likes to
cook, go walking, camping and spending time with friends and family.
Kelly Cappitt (Qualified Veterinary Nurse)
Kelly grew up on a farm on the outskirts of Lincoln looking after a number of farm
animals, as well as her own pets. She moved to the village of Northorpe in 2004 to
live with her fiancé Adrian on his arable farm. They married in 2010. They have a son
together called Jack.
Kelly has been working in Veterinary practices since 2002, and with us since October
2005. This was after studying at colleges for a Diploma in Animal Care, then going on
to achieve an NVQ level 3 in Animal Care. Kelly started her Veterinary Nurse training
with us in January 2007 and gained her professional qualification in April 2009.
Kelly enjoys looking after her three cats - Puddy, Tat and Crunchie. She also enjoys
cycling, horse riding, listening to music, watching movies and going to car shows.
Brogan Cranfield (Student Veterinary Nurse)
Brogan grew up locally and live on a farm in Edenham. She joined Animates in
September 2014 and started her Veterinary Nurse training in January 2015.
She has her own flock of sheep and spends her spare time riding and competing at
weekends. She enjoys spending time with family and walking their three dogs.
