Veterinary Nurses
Kirsty Smith (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Kirsty grew up and went to school in the local area. She joined the practice in November 2008 having previously worked in local practices since 2003. Kirsty completed her nurse training in 2009 and is now a Qualified Veterinary Nurse. In 2010 Kirsty became a clinical coach so she can train future Veterinary Nurses. In 2014 Kirsty acheived her Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

Kirsty has a horse called Magic and she enjoys cycling and horse riding in her spare time.
Katie Davey (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Katie joined Animates in May 2013, having previously worked in another practice in the area for 5 and a half years. Katie gained her nursing qualification in September 2012.

In her spare time Katie enjoys looking after her two cats, walking, photography and socialising with friends.
Annabelle Morris(Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Annabelle joined Animates in September 2009 as a kennel assistant and started her Level 3 Nursing Diploma a year later. She qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in August 2013. Now qualified, Annabelle has a keen interest in weight management and has since completed her Pet Health Counsillor award. Annabelle also enjoys nursing of exotic species and she is one of the nurses that works with exotics vet Sarah Pellett.

Annabelle lives in Langtoft with her husband David, their daughter Imogen, Molly and Diesel their two dogs and two cats Yogi and Charlie.

Annabelle's hobbies include walking the dogs, cooking, going to festivals, swimming, socialising with friends and most recently scuba diving after trying it in Cyprus while on holiday.
Suzanne Reynolds- Warnes (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Suzanne joined Animates in April 2013, after 17 years in a London practice. Originally from Yorkshire, Suzanne started her nursing career in 1992 in Leeds. She re-located to London in 1996, where she gained her nursing qualification, and gradually progressed through to Head Nurse. Suzanne settled in the rural outskirts of Spalding in 2002 to be closer to family, but continued to commute to London to work.

A change of circumstances at the beginning of the year allowed her to pursue a more leisurely pace of life away from London, and she now can be found at both the Thurlby and Market Deeping branches of Animates on a part time basis.

Suzanne has special interests in feline medical nursing, such as diabetic care, thyroid and kidney patients, and nutrition and weight management. Outside work, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her partner and their brood of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and chickens, entertaining friends, and goes swimming, cycling and walking on a regular basis.
Rochelle Hudnott (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Rochelle started nursing in 2004 and completed her pre veterinary nursing in 2008. She had worked in Lincolnshire as a locum before settling down to start a family. Rochelle joined Animates in September 2011 when she returned from maternity leave and is she completed her Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2014, and is now a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Rochelle has an interest in Emergency Care and loves to do CPD when she gets the chance.

Rochelle enjoys going out with family and friends as well as swimming and travelling. She has two guinea pigs, Rosie and Daisy and a cat called Dusty.

Sara Dench (Registered Veterinary Nurse, A1 Assessor)

Sara returned to a career in Veterinary nursing in 2004 after working for the Royal Mail for 11 years. She studied from September 2005 for 2 years and gained her Veterinary Nurse qualification in September 2007. She has worked in various practices in and around Peterborough and joined Animates in July 2007. Sara is an A1 assessor and a clinical coach and helps to train future nurses in the practice.

Her interests include mountain biking, watching motorsport, birdwatching, badminton and going to the theatre.
Hannah Parrott (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Hannah qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1996. Since qualifying she has completed the Royal Canin PHC (Pet Health Councillor) and Advanced PHC courses and therefore has a keen interest in pet nutriton and diets. Due to having a diabetic cat in the past, she is very interested in diabetes and has completed the BVNA diabetes advisor course.

Hannah has worked as a veterinary nurse in various practices around the country, and also spent a year in Australia in 2000 where she worked with a lot of exotic pets and wildlife. She still enjoys working with Exotics, which she can now do at Animates with Sarah Pellett, the Exotics Vet.

Hannah lives with her two children and their cat Jeff. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and handbag shopping!
Kelly Cappitt (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Kelly grew up on a farm on the outskirts of Lincoln looking after a number of farm animals, as well as her own pets. She moved to the village of Northorpe in 2004 to live with her fiancé Adrian on his arable farm. They married in 2010. They have a son and daughter together.

Kelly has been working in Veterinary practices since 2002, and with us since October 2005. This was after studying at colleges for a Diploma in Animal Care, then going on to achieve an NVQ level 3 in Animal Care. Kelly started her Veterinary Nurse training with us in January 2007 and gained her professional qualification in April 2009.

Kelly enjoys looking after her three cats - Puddy, Tat and Crunchie. She also enjoys cycling, horse riding, listening to music, watching movies and going to car shows.
Anna Sworder (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Anna worked in a small animal hospital in Hertfordshire for 15 years, starting as a student nurse, gaining her nurse qualification in 2005 and progressing through to head nurse.

After relocating to Lincolnshire she joined Animates in 2013. She has a keen interest in nursing of exotic species so mainly works in the exotics team.
Hannah Morgan (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Hannah joined the practice in 2012 after working in a veterinary practice in Mansfield. She qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2015 after completing her training at Animates. Hannah went part time for a year while she worked as a veterinary advisor for a pet insurance company. She has now rejoined full time as one of our night nurses. She has a special interest in pet bereavement and weight management.

She lives locally with her partner Sam, and a small menagerie!
Alice Rushmer (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Alice started working at Animates as a kennel assistant in August 2014, after
returning from a month of voluntary conservation work at an iguana sanctuary on
the island of Utila in Honduras. She completed an online Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Assisting in October 2014 and qualified as a RVN in 2016.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, fiance Chris and her cat Prince (who plays fetch more like a dog, and makes sounds more like a peacock!)

Caroline Blake (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Caroline worked as a Veterinary Nurse Lecturer at the College of Animal Welfare before joining Animates full time in July 2017. Caroline works with Sarah Pellet as an exotic nurse and has a special interest in exotic animals. She will be studying towards the City & Guilds Exotics Certificate in the next year.

Caroline lives at home with three dogs,two cats, her husband and two children.
Emma Brocklehurst (Student Veterinary Nurse awaiting registration)

Emma joined the team in January 2015. She decided on a new career after serving
in the Army for 13 years. Emma spent a year working at another local practice
where she completed her Veterinary Care assistant course and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2017. She has a particular interest in inpatient care and recovery.

Emma and her husband Bryan lives with their terrier Holly and 3 cats. She also has
2 horses, and Emma spends most of her spare time riding and taking care of them .
Emma also enjoys keeping fit at the gym and running.
Helle Pausgaard (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Helle is very interested in animal husbandry in which she had previously gained a qualification and has worked on farms in Denmark, New Zealand and England for almost 10 years. Helle qualified as a RVN in 2016 after undrtaking her training at Animates.

Helle moved to the UK in 2008 to live with her partner Adam, who she met while backpacking in Australia. They live in Deeping St Nicholas (almost) with their twin daughters Sofie and Chloe born in2016 and two dogs Millie, a lab x pointer and Gracie, a lurcher. In her spare time Helle loves walking, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Katie Day (Student Veterinary Nurse awaiting registration)

Katie joined Animates in November 2016 and completed her veterinary nursing qualification in January 2017. She is particularly interested in surgical nursing and anaesthesia, and plans to study further in this area.

At home Katie has a bouncy cocker spaniel called Merlin, and a cat called Tabitha who she hand reared from a kitten.

In her spare time Katie enjoys walking Merlin, reading and socialising with friends.
Natalie Mostowyj (Student Veterinary Nurse awaiting registration)

Natalie joined Animates in July 2017 and has recently qualified as a Veterinary Nurse. She grew up in South Africa and moved to the UK when she was 13 and has had a passion for animals ever since - particularly exotic mammals.

She has been married to her husband Gary since 2013 and they share thier home with 2 rabbits and a naughty cockapoo called Oakleigh.
Alana Taylor (Student Veterinary Nurse awaiting registration)

Alana qualified as a veterinary nurse in November 2016 and joined Animates in August 2017 having moved from a large practice in West yorkshire. She has a keen interest in emergency work and would eventually like to complete a certificate in emergency and crictial care.

In her spare time Alana enjoys taking her dog Bella for long walks in the fields near home or on the beach. She enjoys cycling and has recently started swimming regularly. Alana is aiming to climg the three highest peaks in the UK with her dad over the next year. She is also a keen baker and now that she is home she will be doing lots of baking in her spare time.
