Kirsty Smith (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Kirsty grew up in the local area and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2010. Since then she has gained the RCVS Advanced Diploma in veterinary nursing and a first class honours degree, also in clinical veterinary nursing. She has a keen interest in training the student nurses and has been a clinical coach in practice for several years and has coached several of our students through their qualification.

Kirsty currently works part time for us as she is also a veterinary nursing lecturer at the College of Animal Welfare in Huntingdon.

In her spare time she has an elderly pony to care for and enjoys cycling and eating out! (and scaffolding!)
Katie Davey (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Katie joined Animates in May 2013, having previously worked in another practice in the area for 5 and a half years. Katie gained her nursing qualification in September 2012.

In her spare time Katie enjoys looking after her two cats, walking, photography and socialising with friends.
Annabelle Gharibi (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Annabelle joined Animates in September 2009 as a kennel assistant and started her Level 3 Nursing Diploma a year later. She qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in August 2013. Annabelle has a keen interest in weight management and has since completed her Pet Health Counsillor award. Annabelle also enjoys nursing of exotic species and she is one of the nurses that works with exotics vet Sarah Pellett.

Annabelle lives in Langtoft with her husband David, their two dogs Molly and Diesel and two cats Yogi and Charlie.

Annabelle's hobbies include walking the dogs, cooking, going to festivals, swimming, socialising with friends and most recently scuba diving after trying it in Cyprus while on holiday.
Suzanne Reynolds- Warnes (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Suzanne joined Animates in April 2013, after 17 years in a London practice. Originally from Yorkshire, Suzanne started her nursing career in 1992 in Leeds. She re-located to London in 1996, where she gained her nursing qualification, and gradually progressed through to Head Nurse. Suzanne settled in the rural outskirts of Spalding in 2002 to be closer to family, but continued to commute to London to work.

A change of circumstances at the beginning of the year allowed her to pursue a more leisurely pace of life away from London, and she now can be found at both the Thurlby and Market Deeping branches of Animates on a part time basis.

Suzanne has special interests in feline medical nursing, such as diabetic care, thyroid and kidney patients, and nutrition and weight management. Outside work, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her partner and their brood of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and chickens, entertaining friends, and goes swimming, cycling and walking on a regular basis.
Rochelle Hudnott (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Rochelle started nursing in 2004 and completed her pre veterinary nursing in 2008. She had worked up and down the UK as a locum before settling down to start a family. Rochelle joined Animates in September 2011 when she returned from maternity leave after having her daughter and since then completed her Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2014, gaining the qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

She has recently returned after having her little boy, and has recently taken on the role of clinical coach in practice, to help our students in their training. Rochelle has an interest in Emergency Care and loves to do CPD when she gets the chance.

Rochelle lives in Bourne with her husband, two children, guinea pigs named Rosie and Daisy and a cat called Dusty. In her spare time she enjoys going out a with family and friends as well as swimming and travelling, and loves a good party!!

Sara Dench (Registered Veterinary Nurse, A1 Assessor)

Sara returned to a career in Veterinary nursing in 2004 after working for the Royal Mail for 11 years. She studied from September 2005 for 2 years and gained her Veterinary Nurse qualification in September 2007. She is currently studying for the veterinary nurse emergency and critical care certificate. She has worked in various practices in and around Peterborough and joined Animates in July 2007. Sara is an A1 assessor and a clinical coach and helps to train future nurses in the practice.

Sara enjoys looking after her two mad Jack Russell Terriers, as well as her 2 cats, rabbit and parrot. Her interests include walking, going to the theatre and watching rugby.
Hannah Parrott (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Hannah qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1996. Since qualifying she has completed the Royal Canin PHC (Pet Health Councillor) and Advanced PHC courses and therefore has a keen interest in pet nutriton and diets. Due to having a diabetic cat in the past, she is very interested in diabetes and has completed the BVNA diabetes advisor course.

Hannah has worked as a veterinary nurse in various practices around the country, and also spent a year in Australia in 2000 where she worked with a lot of exotic pets and wildlife. She still enjoys working with Exotics, which she can now do at Animates with Sarah Pellett, the Exotics Vet.

Hannah lives with her two children, their lazy cat Scrunchie and new kitten Jeff. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and handbag shopping!
Kelly Cappitt (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Kelly grew up on a farm on the outskirts of Lincoln looking after a number of farm animals, as well as her own pets. She moved to the village of Northorpe in 2004 to live with her fiancé Adrian on his arable farm. They married in 2010. They have a son together called Jack.

Kelly has been working in Veterinary practices since 2002, and with us since October 2005. This was after studying at colleges for a Diploma in Animal Care, then going on to achieve an NVQ level 3 in Animal Care. Kelly started her Veterinary Nurse training with us in January 2007 and gained her professional qualification in April 2009.

Kelly enjoys looking after her three cats - Puddy, Tat and Crunchie. She also enjoys cycling, horse riding, listening to music, watching movies and going to car shows.
Anna Sworder (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Anna worked in a small animal hospital in Hertfordshire for 15 years, starting as a student nurse, gaining her nurse qualification in 2005 and progressing through to head nurse.
After relocating to Lincolnshire she joined Animates in 2013. She has a keen interest in nursing of exotic species so mainly works in the exotics team.
Amelia Hubbard (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Amelia grew up in Stamford and in 2011 went to Harper Adams university in Shropshire to start her training as a veterinary nurse. During the course she came to Animates on block release to develop her practical nursing skills. She graduated in September 2015 with a 2:1 in Bsc(Hons) Veterinary Nursing and Practice Management. Amelia rejoined our nursing team as a full time registered veterinary nurse and works across both of the practices.

Amelia enjoys travelling and has spent time in both Australia and New Zealand. When home Amelia likes to spend time with friends and looking after her pet rabbits and guinea pigs.

Kirsty Thomas (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Kirsty qualifed in July 2014 as a veterinary nurse from Edinburgh Napier University. Since then she has married and followed her husband here to work in Lincoln. She is currently doing a course in emergency and critical care.

In her free time she enjoys a variety of crafts and spending time with friends. She has an 11 year old dog called Sally that she adopted from the dogs trust last year. She also has a pet cat called Nigel and 3 guinea pigs called Ted, McCormick and Wilbur. She loves meeting clients and getting to know their animals.
