Alice Gibbons (Student Veterinary Nurse)

Alice is a Student Veterinary Nurse after being at college for a year studying the level 3 extended diploma in animal management, then coming to Animates to complete a year of being a Kennel Assistant. She always wanted to work with animals from a very young age, and decided that veterinary nursing was the career path that she wanted to follow.

In her spare time she used to take part in athletics and has competed at regional level in high jump and shot putt, and has also been county champion in multiple events. She also has 3 rabbits called Arthur, Harry and Frankie.
Rebecca Featherstone (Student Veterinary Nurse)

Becky lives locally on her family farm in Clipsham and has always had a passion for animals. She started at Animates in January 2016 and will be starting her veterinary nurse training in April.
Before deciding to become a vet nurse Becky spent time in South Africa where she was involved in wildlife conservation projects, after which Becky returned to the UK and became a zoo keeper in Yorkshire.

In her spare time Becky enjoys riding her horse Chester and looking after her farm animals which includes Antonio the alpaca.
Laura Stone (Student Veterinary Nurse)

Laura is a qualified clinical animal behaviourist and registered dog trainer having graduated with an MSc from Lincoln University in 2013 and the APDT in 2015.

Having been a lecturer in Animal Care for the passed 4 years she decided to combine her passion for Health and Behaviour and train to become a Veterinary Nurse. Laura runs our puppy parties, and is excited to be able to offer our clients in practice behaviour services.

Laura enjoys walking, and participating in scent work with her 3 dogs, and caring for her 6 ex battery chickens.
Sammy Keetley (Student Veterinary Nurse)

Sammy is a second year student veterinary nurse from Harper Adams University and joined Animates in April 2017 for her placement year.

She has a National Diploma in Animal Management and in 2007 she graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BSc (hons) degree in Wildlife Conservation.

Sammy has a house rabbit called George and is particularly interested in rabbit care.

Sam Thompson (Student Veterinary Nurse)

Sam has been working in practice for two years and enrolled with the College of Animal Welfare in Septemebr 2016. He had previously worked at another practice but was interested in what Animates had to offer so moved here!

Outside of work one of his main hobbies is football; whether it's playing every Saturday, or keeping up with the latest scores. Sam has a 1 year old cocker spaniel named Frank, who also keeps him active. He also enjoys listening to music and socialising with his friends
