Yolanda Lake (Veterinary Care Assistant)
Yolanda has always had a passion for animals. After graduating from Northampton University in acting she has decided to change her career path.
Yolanda has a small holding of animals ranging from pigeons to horses. She is excited to be able to start her new career here at Animates
Emma Barron-Clark (Practice Administrator)
Emma grew up in Thurlby, and used to enjoy riding horses around the area. She
now lives in Bourne with her fiance and twin daughters, born July 2012.
Most of her time is taken up entertaining two toddlers, going to the park, and
Emma previously worked as a customer service manager for a mailing company and
she joined Animates March 2013.
Most of her time is spent entertaining her children and enjoying family days out.
Janice Hill (Receptionist)
Originally from Cambridgeshire, Janice has lived and worked locally for a number of
years and joined Animates in February 2013.
Janice is married to Martin and they live in Kirkby Underwood with their Patterdale
As a member of the Rotary Club of Bourne St Peter, Janice is actively involved in
the community and participates in various projects in her village. In her spare time
Janice enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and walking Boris in the local

Christine Dobbin (Receptionist)
Christine moved to Lincolnshire four years ago after working in London for 5 years
as a Veterinary Nurse. She lives with her partner, dog, three cats, two rescue pigs Eileen and Vincent Van Trough and the occasional
In her spare time she enjoys nature, photography, gardening, cooking and painting
Deborah Croyle (Administrator and Receptionist)
Deborah has over twenty years commercial experience in retail, logistics, leisure,
catering and veterinary fields, specialising in start-ups and turnarounds, of which
the veterinary business is her firm favourite. She has several pets, all of which are
rescue animals, including two miniature dachshunds, one of which was born blind,
a cat, a rabbit, and a tortoise.
She and her husband moved from urban Hertfordshire to the Lincolnshire fens to
improve their quality of life, and she is now enjoying being able to indulge her
hobbies including gardening, motorcycling, cooking, classic rock, keeping fit, and
walking her own and other peoples’ dogs.
Claire Murrell (Receptionist)
Claire lives in Bourne with her partner of 16 years and their two cats Calypso and
Lulu. As well as working on reception part time, Claire also runs a small business
designing and making bespoke jewellery.
In her spare time Claire enjoys reading, baking, gardening, and spending time with
her pets and friends.
Andy Croyle (Maintainence)
Following several years as a retail manager, Andy has a lengthy background in
writing and delivering management training and development, both in large
companies and as an independent consultant. In between these projects he uses
his pragmatic approach and problem-solving skills to indulge his long-standing
passion for DIY by doing routine repairs, maintenance and improvements at
His other interests include motorcycles, classic rock music, photography, reading
and local history and is also a local Parish Councillor. He
and his wife share their home with several rescue animals including two miniature
dachshunds, one of which was born blind, and a tailless cat.
Alice Gibbons (Veterinary Care Assistant)
Alice is a Veterinary Nurse Assistant after being at college for a year studying the
level 3 extended diploma in animal management. She always wanted to work with
animals from a very young age, and decided that veterinary nursing was the
career path that she wanted to follow.
In her spare time she used to take part in athletics and has competed at county
level in high jump and shot putt, and has also been county champion in
multi-events. She has a rescue rabbit called Nedley and a hamster she rescued
called Stanley as well as a family chicken called Marge.
Steph Georgiades (Receptionist)
Steph is a Receptionist and previously worked as a Photographer, taking photos of
babies and families, she also worked in many different areas of retail.
In her free time she enjoys going to Music Festivals and Gigs, as well as doing
photography and crafts. She has a black cat called Reggie that came from a yard
sale. She asked how much the cat was and the lady said she was moving and that
Steph could have him! She also has a little field mouse which her partner found at
his work, the baby mouse still with his eyes closed was named Little B and they
hand reared him.
