Emma Barron-Clark (Practice Administrator)

Emma grew up in Thurlby, and used to enjoy riding horses around the area. She now lives in Bourne with her fiance and twin daughters, born July 2012.

Most of her time is taken up entertaining two toddlers, going to the park, and babygroups.

Emma previously worked as a customer service manager for a mailing company and she joined Animates March 2013.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Janice Hill (Receptionist)

Originally from Cambridgeshire, Janice has lived and worked locally for a number of years and joined Animates in February 2013.

Janice is married to Martin and they live in Kirkby Underwood with their Patterdale Terrier, Boris.

As a member of the Rotary Club of Bourne St Peter, Janice is actively involved in the community and participates in various projects in her village. In her spare time Janice enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and walking Boris in the local countryside.

Rebecca Kuttel (Veterinarian)

Rebecca has been with Animates Veterinary Clinic since opening in June 2005.

Rebecca studied veterinary medicine at Massey University in New Zealand and qualified in the year 2000. After graduating Rebecca started working in mixed rural practice in New Zealand before deciding to concentrate her energies on companion animals. Rebecca has worked in a number of different practices in New Zealand, Ireland and England.

Rebecca enjoys a range of different activities including travelling, diving, music and squash which she plays regularly.
Vicky Lees (Veterinarian)

Vicky grew up on a farm with large animals, in Toft. She qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Edinburgh University in July 2007. Before she started her Veterinary Degree she also gained a BSc in Anatomy and Physiology.

Vicky joined Animates in July 2007 as a full time vet increasing the veterinary team from 2 to 3, at that time.

Vicky has 2 dogs, chickens, 2 ponies, and 2 Bearded Dragons. She enjoys walking her dogs, riding, golf and travelling.
Katherine Wynn-Owen (Veterinarian)

Katherine qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2006 and has worked at mixed and small animal practices in the UK before joining Animates in November 2011.

Katherine enjoys spending time with her partner and their cat Jinx, horse riding, playing netball and socialising with friends. She has a keen interest in conservation and during her time at university completed an intercalated degree in veterinary conservation medicine.

She enjoys travelling and has previously volunteered as a vet at an Orang-utan reintroduction centre in Indonesia.

Marieke Skelton (Veterinarian)

Marieke joined Animates in August 2011 after a few months maternity break. She is originally from The Netherlands and qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Ghent University in Belgium in July 2001.

She moved to the UK in 2002 and worked first in a practice in Yorkshire and then for several years in a practice in Reigate, Surrey, before moving up to Stamford to marry her husband.

Marieke is married and has three small children, two dogs and a horse. She enjoys horse riding, walking the dogs and spending lots of time with her family.
Sarah Pellett (Veterinarian)

Sarah qualified from Cambridge University in 2006 and has since been working in small animal and exotic first opinion and referral practice. She has recently gained the RCVS Certificate, Advanced Veterinary Practice in Zoo Medicine.

Her interest in exotic species started at an early age and prior to embarking on her veterinary degree Sarah gained a BSc (Honours) degree in Zoology. She has travelled and worked at various Zoos and Animal Parks in the UK, Australia and South Africa.

Sarah has been involved with RSPCA rabbit and reptile clinics. She is a member of the British Veterinary Zoological Society and an advisor for the Invertebrate Health Working Group for British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquaria. She has a wide range of professional interests including exotic surgery and medicine.

Outside of work Sarah enjoys walking her two dogs and travelling.
Ian Wright (Veterinarian)

Ian qualified from Cambridge in 2009 and has since spent time working in a traditional mixed practice in Herefordshire and as a locum all around the UK. He has recently decided to hang up his wellies and focus on small-animal work.

Outside of work, his main interests are running, cycling and many other sports. He is has just completed the 2014 Tour d'Afrique - a cycle expedition and race from Cairo to Cape Town.
Kelly Cappitt (Qualified Veterinary Nurse)

Kelly grew up on a farm on the outskirts of Lincoln looking after a number of farm animals, as well as her own pets. She moved to the village of Northorpe in 2004 to live with her fiancé Adrian on his arable farm. They married in 2010. They have a son together called Jack.

Kelly has been working in Veterinary practices since 2002, and with us since October 2005. This was after studying at colleges for a Diploma in Animal Care, then going on to achieve an NVQ level 3 in Animal Care. Kelly started her Veterinary Nurse training with us in January 2007 and gained her professional qualification in April 2009.

Kelly enjoys looking after her two cats - Puddy and Tat. She also enjoys cycling, horse riding, listening to music, watching movies and going to car shows.
Kirsty Smith (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Kirsty grew up and went to school in the local area. She joined the practice in November 2008 having previously worked in local practices since 2003. Kirsty completed her nurse training in 2009 and is now a Qualified Veterinary Nurse. In 2010 Kirsty became a clinical coach so she can train future Veterinary Nurses. In 2014 Kirsty acheived her Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

Kirsty has a horse called Magic and she enjoys cycling and horse riding in her spare time.
Clare Woods (Qualified Veterinary Nurse)

Clare has now settled in Baston with her husband Andy and her two young children, Penny and Ferris. Clare has a 1 eyed dog called Cully and a cat called Gilbert.

She enjoys spending time with her family, running, playing tennis, aerobics and reading.
Katie Davey (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Katie joined Animates in May 2013, having previously worked in another practice in the area for 5 and a half years. Katie gained her nursing qualification in September 2012.

In her spare time Katie enjoys looking after her two cats, walking, photography and socialising with friends.
Annabelle Gharibi (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Annabelle joined animates in September 2009 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2013. She lives in Langtoft with her partner David. They have two rescue dogs, Molly and Diesel.

Annabelle grew up in West London but moved up to Lincolnshire in 2008 after completing her A-levels.

Now qualified, Annabelle has a keen interest in learning more about nutrition and weight management.

Annabelle's hobbies include going on walks with the dogs, cooking, going to festivals, motorsport - Annie regularlly marshalls at the BMF shows in Peterborough, socialising with friends and most recently diving after trying it in Cyprus while on holiday.
Suzanne Reynolds- Warnes (Qualified Veterinary Nurse)

Suzanne joined Animates in April 2013, after 17 years in a London practice. Originally from Yorkshire, Suzanne started her nursing career in 1992 in Leeds. She re-located to London in 1996, where she gained her nursing qualification, and gradually progressed through to Head Nurse. Suzanne settled in the rural outskirts of Spalding in 2002 to be closer to family, but continued to commute to London to work.

A change of circumstances at the beginning of the year allowed her to pursue a more leisurely pace of life away from London, and she now can be found at both the Thurlby and Market Deeping branches of Animates on a part time basis.

Suzanne has special interests in feline medical nursing, such as diabetic care, thyroid and kidney patients, and nutrition and weight management. Outside work, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her partner and their brood of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and chickens, entertaining friends, and goes swimming, cycling and walking on a regular basis.
Rochelle Hudnott (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Rochelle started nursing in 2004 and completed her pre-veterinary nursing in 2008. She had worked in Lincolnshire as a locum before settling down to start a family. Rochelle joined Animates in September 2011 when she returned from maternity leave; here she took the opportunity to complete her Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and is now a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

Rochelle enjoys going out with family and friends as well as swimming, scuba diving and travelling. She has two guinea pigs, Rosie and Daisy and a cat called Dusty.
Hannah Morgan (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Hannah joined Animates in April 2012. She previously worked in Mansfield after living in Nottingham and getting her animal care qualification. Hannah has also previously worked at White Post Farm in Nottinghamshire where she looked after small animals, baby goats and lambs.

She moved back to Lincolnshire in early 2012 to live with her parents and her 3 cats - Boris, Bonnie, and Stevie, and Buddy the Golden Retriever.

She has completed her Veterinary Nursing Level 3 Diploma, and became a registered veterinary nurse in 2014.
Tony Protheroe (Maintenance Man)

Tony joined the Ambulance service in 1987, and he qualified as a paramedic in 1991. His best moments were when he delivered 5 babies during his 19 years of service. Tony retired from the service in 2006.

He has now joined Animates part time to take care of all the maintenance and odd-jobs around the place.

Elisa Estaca Banon (Veterinarian)

Elisa graduated in 2006 from Murcia University in Spain. Since then she has been working in both research and clinical practice. Elisa spent a year at Dublin University College when she undertook a one year anaesthesia internship.
In her spare time she enjoys training for triathlons and spending time with friends. She has a keen interest in good gastronomy and likes spending time during weekends cooking and baking. She also loves travelling as much as she can.

Christine Dobbin (Receptionist)

Christine moved to Lincolnshire four years ago after working in London for 5 years as a Veterinary Nurse. She lives with her partner, dog, 3 cats and the occasional injured pigeon!

In her spare time she enjoys nature, photography, gardeing, cooking and painting pet portraits.

Alice Rushmer (Kennel Assistant)

Alice started working at Animates as a kennel assitant in August 2014, after returning from a month of voluntary conservation work at an iguana sanctuary on the island of Utila in Honduras.

She completed an online Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Assisting in October 2014 and started her Veterinary Nurse training in January 2015
Lauren Stoker (Kennel Assistant)

Lauren joined Animates in September 2014 in her first full time job since leaving school. She has dreamed of being a vet nurse ever since she was little and is interested in following it all the way and hopefully starting her Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2015.

She has a weimaraner called Deltah and in her spare time she likes walking Deltah, horse riding and socialising with friends.
Craig Mackinlay (Veterinarian)

Craig is from Scotland and graduated from Edinburgh University in 2011. He worked for 3 years in a busy hospital in South Wales where he set up and ran their exotic animal service as well as working with companion animals. He moved to Animates in order to expand his skills with exotics and work towards gaining his Cert AVP (Zoo Med).

He has a pet royal python and cuban knight anole. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, playing badminton and video games, and drinking whisky.
